Hall of Fame Results

Eddie Hargett and Bruce Gantt of Blythewood and Chester shot a second round 64 to capture the 2001 Hall of Fame Championship. The duo made the turn at three under par for the day, but played the back nine in five under par to shoot their second consecutive 64. In the Second Flight, the teams of Lanny Correll, Jr. and Taylor Kush and Pete Clough and Richard Houghton, all from Columbia, shot 138's to take first. In the First Flight, the teams Brian Kennedy and Scott Smith and Wayne Brock and Mark Hendley shot second day rounds of 65 to tie at 135. The 17th Annual Hall of Fame Better Ball was played at the Golf Club of South Carolina at Crickentree. 70 teams competed in the competition which was conducted by the South Carolina Golf Association.
