The team of Lee Palms and Wesley Harden along with the duo of Kevin Burton and Levi Joiner will take a four shot lead over the rest of the field heading into Sunday's Final Round at the 41st Lefty Righty Championship. The Greenville team of Palms and Harden began their day on number 4 with a birdie and never looked back en route to their bogey free 63.  Levi Joiner (Prosperity) and Kevin Burton (Irmo) also fired a bogey free 63 carding five of their nine birdies on the front nine. Four teams shot an opening round of 67 and sit four shots back heading into Sunday's Final Round. 

In Lefthanders competition, Cally Bell (Bishopville) and Wesley Harden (Greenville) will carry a one shot lead into Sunday after both shooting first round scores of 69. Stan Sill (Spartanburg) and Scotty Davis (Charleston) will look to chase down Bell and Harden after opening rounds of 70.

 

In Senior Lefty-Righty competition, Rich Weston (Pawleys Island) and Steve Horton (Moncks Corner) hold a two shot lead over their nearest competitors after a solid opening round of 63. 

In the Senior Lefthanders competition, Rich Weston holds a commanding ten shot lead heading into Sunday after firing a six under par 66.

The 2017 SCGA Lefty Righty / Lefthanders Championship is one of 21 major championships conducted by the South Carolina Golf Association. The 41st Annual event is playing on the 6,375 yard, par 72 golf course at Lake Marion Golf Club in Santee, SC.
