Musgrove Mill Claims 16th Annual Lathrop Cup

The Musgrove Mill amateur three man team combined to shoot a total of two over par 218 to win the 2023 SCGA Lathrop Cup. Musgrove Mill was represented by Professional Jeff Tallman and amateurs Dillard Pruitt, Walter Todd, and Doug Ramey. Finishing in second place at four over par 220 was the Three Pines Country Club team represented by Professional Greg Krasinski along with amateurs Todd Webber, Brian Kennedy, and Scott Smith. 

 

In the Pro-Am portion of the event, there was a two-way tie between Mid Carolina Club and Holly Tree Country Club. Each team shot a low two-ball score of eleven under par 133.

 

The 2023 SCGA Lathrop Cup was played on the par 72 - 6,270 yard Columbia Country Club (Ridgewood/Tall Pines) course in Blythewood, SC. The field consisted of 20 teams playing in both the Lathrop Cup and the Lathrop Cup Pro-Am. The Lathrop Cup is comprised of three amateurs over the age of 55 from the same club using the aggregate of their three scores to determine the Senior Club Championship of South Carolina. The Pro-Am portion of the event uses the best two balls of the group, including the club professional. The Lathrop Cup is named after long time SCGA Executive Director Happ Lathrop.
