Odiorne and Shealy Go Low at Opening Round of Super Senior Four-Ball

The team of Walter Odiorne (Blythewood) & Bernie Shealy (Columbia) stand atop the leaderboard after opening the first round of the SCGA Super Senior Four-Ball Championship with a nine under par round of 63. The midlands duo leads by one stroke heading into the final round of the 2022 SCGA Super Senior Four-Ball Championship that is being held at The Legends at Parris Island in Parris Island, SC.

Odiorne and Shealy combined for seven birdies, ten pars, and one eagle throughout their opening round. One shot behind in the Championship Division is the team of Charlie Hall (Bluffton) and Gary Odom (Greenwood) with an opening round 64. Two shots off the leaders in solo third place is the team of Tim Stone (Bluffton) and Glenn Kollar (Bluffton).  

In the Legends Division, Dennis Adkins (N. Myrtle Beach) and Rich Obrien (N. Myrtle Beach) sit alone in first place after an opening round of seven under par 65. The team of Jim Wise (Columbia) and Gene Spencer (Blythewood) are just one shot off the lead after an opening round 66.  

The Final round will begin on Thursday with a 9:00 AM Shotgun start.

The 2022 SCGA Super Senior Four-Ball Championship is being played at The Legends Golf Course at Parris Island which is located on Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island in Parris Island, SC. The starting field consists of 41 teams split into two divisions. The Championship Division and Legends Division is flighted based on Round One scores. The Championship Division consisting of players ages of 65-69, is playing to a yardage of 5,681 yards while the Legends Division consisting of players ages 70 and over, is playing to a yardage of 5,325 yards. The format for the two days of competition is Four-Ball Stroke Play.
