Stan Sill Leads First Round of the 64th SCGA Senior Championship

ORANGEBURG, SC (May 9, 2022) – First round results of the 64th SCGA Senior Championship, hosted by Orangeburg Country Club in Orangeburg, SC on Monday, May 9, 2022.
 
 
Orangeburg Country Club welcomed 105 senior amateurs this morning for the first round of the 64th SCGA Senior Championship.
 
Stan Sill of Spartanburg finished the day at two-under par 70 to take the lead after the first round. He had an impressive four birdies and an eagle to hold a one-shot lead heading into round two tomorrow.
 
Todd Webber of Moore posted the only other under par round of one-under 71 to hold the second-place position after the first round.
 
Five players finished the first round at even-par 72 to sit T3.
 
The second round of the 64th Senior Championship will begin Tuesday, May 10 at 8:00 AM with a double tee – double wave start.
 
The 2022 SCGA Senior Championship is being played on the par 72 - 6,334 yard course at Orangeburg Country Club in Orangeburg, SC. The starting field consists of 105 players over the age of 55. There will be a cut to the low 60 and ties after 36 holes. The Senior Championship is one of 21 Major Championships conducted annually by the South Carolina Golf Association.
