Columbia, S.C. - Zach Herold (Lexington) and Sam Jackson (West Columbia) proved to be the team to beat as they shot a Tournament low score of 24 under par 120 to capture the SCGA’s 29th Annual Partners Championship. After starting the final round with a one-shot lead, the midlands duo compiled nine birdies in a Modified Texas Scramble format to ultimately win the Partners Championship by two strokes over Spring Valley Country Club members Josh Dewees (Columbia) and Jonathan Strauss (Columbia). In the First Flight of the Championship Division, Nelson Dickson (Greenville) and Jeffrey Horton (Inman) completed a one-shot victory with a tournament total of 17 under par 127. Jarett Grimes (Columbia) and John Obrien (Columbia) won the Second Flight of the Championship Division with a 14 under par two-day total of 130.
In the Tournament Division, Andrew Berks (Fort Mill) and Thomas Rea (Fort Mill) captured the overall victory by six shots after a two-day total of 20 under par 124. Paul Conway (Charleston) and Bruce Fleming (Mount Pleasant) took top honors in the First Flight with a tournament total of 11 under par 133. Michael Griggs (Hartsville) and Ryan Melton (Cheraw) captured the win in the Second Flight with a tournament total of 136.

The 2022 SCGA Partners Championship was played at both Spring Valley Country Club and The Windermere Club. The field consisted of 100 two-man teams playing Captains Choice in the first round and a Modified Texas Scramble in the final round. The Championship Division competed at The Windermere Club on day one and Spring Valley Country Club on day two, vice versa for the Tournament Division. The Partners Championship is in its 29th year of existence and is a fund raiser for the South Carolina Junior Golf Association.
