Two Teams Tied Atop Leaderboard at Senior Four-Ball

Red numbers are draped across the leaderboard at the 27th edition of the SCGA Senior Four-Ball Championship that is currently being held at Orangeburg Country Club in Orangeburg, SC. Tied at the top after the first round are two of the best current golf powerhouse duos in the state. The two-time SCGA Senior Four-Ball Champion team of Eddie Hargett (Blythewood) & Walter Todd (Laurens) along with the 2019 SCGA Senior Better-Ball champion team of Mike Daniels (Murrells Inlet) & Rich Weston (Pawleys Island) both completed their opening rounds with stellar six under par rounds of 66. Both teams replicated one another by compiling ten pars, seven birdies, and one lone bogey during their 18-hole stretch.

Following behind the two lead groups will be nine other teams that are sitting only three shots back after the first round. In that group of nine is the 2013 SCGA Senior Four-Ball Champion team and long-time duo of Walter Odiorne (Blythewood) & Bernie Shealy (Columbia). Odiorne & Shealy completed their first round bogey free while compiling three birdies for an opening round 69.
