Eassy & Friday Claim Victory at SCGA Forty Plus Finale
Chris Eassy (Greer) & Scott Friday (Simpsonville) claimed top honors at the SCGA’s Forty Plus Series Finale event of 2019 that was contested over two days at The Caledonia Golf & Fish Club, after the duo recorded a two day better ball total of 13 under par 127. Yancey Johnson (Simpsonville) and Kevin Roberts (Chesnee) finished alone in second place after a final round score of 64 and tournament total of 130.
In the Tournament Net Division, Stephen McFerrin (Lexington) and Mike Rutland (Greenwood) finished the event with a net total of 16 under par 124 to win the division. Andy Balao (Summerville) and Marty Bunch (Summerville) finished in second place with a two-day net total of 126.
In the Senior Gross Division, Duff Wagner (Taylors) and Terry Willis (Greenville) captured the victory after a final round score of 67 and a tournament total of nine under par 131. Joe Horne (Columbia) and Rich Houghton (Elgin) finished just two shots off of the lead to finish with a gross total of 133.
In the Senior Net Division, Rick Oyervides (Greer) and Theodore Wojack (Greenville) finished atop the leaderboard with a two-day net total of 120.
Warren Peper (Charleston) and Oren Wood (Landrum) captured top honors in the Super Senior Gross Division after a final round score of 67 and tournament total five under par 135. In the Super Senior Net Division, Jim Childers (Hopkins) and Lee Trawick (Blythewood) finished in first place with a net total of 119.
The 40 Plus is a series of events conducted for golfers across South Carolina, over the age of 40. The Forty Plus Finale is a two-day event that was conducted on Sunday and Monday at The Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawleys Island, SC. This event is the final 40 Plus Series event the SCGA will conduct in 2019.
