Gravley & Revis Capture 40 Plus Victory at Musgrove
Mike Gravley (Greer) & Jeremy Revis (Greenville) claimed top honors at the fifth SCGA 40 Plus Series event of 2019 that was contested at Musgrove Mill Golf Club, after the duo recorded a better ball round of seven under par 65. Josh Branyon (Honea Path) and Blake Williamson (Anderson) finished in second place after a final score of 66.
In the Tournament Net Division, Todd Garett (Easley) and Lewis Wiles (Easley) shot a net total of 13 under 59 to win the division. Brian Kennedy (Woodruff) and Scott Smith (Spartanburg) along with David League (Travelers Rest) and Brian Tankersly (Greenville) tied for second with net totals of 63.
In the Senior Gross Division, Tom Reeves (Greenville) and Walter Todd (Laurens) captured the victory with a round of 5 under par 67. Timothy Nation (Greenwood) and Gary Nelson (Greenwood) finished just two shots off of the lead to finish with a total of 69.
In the Senior Net Division, Bubba Harrison (Donalds) and Danny Maddox (Abbeville) finished atop the leaderboard with a net total of 63.
Doug Tooke (Greenville) and Wayne Rogers (Easley) top gross honors in the Super Senior Gross Division after an even par round of 72. In the Super Senior Net Division, Jim Hollingsworth (Highlands) and George Watt (Chapin) finished in first after a net round of 74.
The 40 Plus is a series of events conducted for golfers across South Carolina, over the age of 40. The field consisted of 44 teams playing Four-Ball Stroke Play at Musgrove Mill Golf Club in Clinton, SC. This event was the fifth of seven 40 Plus events the SCGA will conduct in 2019. The next 40 Plus event will be held on November 12th at the Country Club of Spartanburg in Spartanburg, SC.
