Sease Claims First SCGA Mid-Amateur Championship Victory

After battling through tough weather conditions throughout the weekend, Jordan Sease (Lexington) shot a final round score of 75 to finish with a three day total of four under par 212 to claim a two shot victory in the 39^th version of the SCGA's Mid-Amateur Championship at Palmetto Hall Plantation’s Arthur Hills Course.

Sease began his final round with a two-shot lead but with constant wind gusts, the tournament victory was far from complete. Sease consistently added pars through the first six holes before allowing a bogey on the 397 yard Par 4 – 7^th Hole. Finishing the front nine with two additional pars, Sease continued to control the lead by one shot over Raymond Wooten (Clemson), as Wooten respectively shot an even par 36. Sease continued to grind on the back nine compiling 7 pars, and despite two bogies, still was enough to claim the championship by two strokes over Defending Champion Kyle Bearden (Barnwell), Scott Roberts (Lancaster), and Raymond Wooten.

Finishing in fifth place was Brandon Truesdale (Rock Hill) who battled back into the mix with a final round low score of 69 and tournament total of one under par 215. The 2018 SCGA Player of the Year, Robert Lutomski (Simpsonville), finished in solo sixth place followed by first round leader Jeremy Revis (Greenville) who finished in seventh with a total score of 217.
