Sease Leads By Two Heading Into Final Round
Hilton Head, S.C. - The second round of the 39th Annual SCGA Mid-Amateur Championship was finally completed on Sunday morning after a line of rain and storms battered participants throughout the day on Saturday, forcing the final groups to finish up prior to the start of the Final Round on Sunday.
The field has been cut to the low 60 and ties for the Final Round of the championship.
Jordan Sease (Lexington) sits atop the leaderboard at seven under par 137 after two stellar rounds of 68 and 69. Sease is staring down his first SCGA Mid-Amateur Championship title but recently captured one half of the 2019 SCGA Mid-Amateur Four-Ball Championship title along with qualifying for and participated in the 2019 US Mid-Amateur Championship in Colorado.
Two shots behind Sease is former Winthrop Eagles Golf teammate, Kyle Bearden (Barnwell) who won the title last year at Greenville Country Club’s Riverside Course, and Raymond Wooten of Clemson.
The Final Round of the Championship began at 9:30 AM with a double tee start.
