Final Match is Set

Thomas Addison and Weston Sanders will take on the team of Brian Kelley and Kyle Milner in the Final Match of the 56^th SCGA Four Ball Championship being contested at Musgrove Mill Golf Club in Clinton, SC.

Sunny skies coupled with hot and humid temperatures greeted the eight teams that teed it up in the Quarterfinals Saturday morning. 

Defending champions Walt Todd Jr. and Brandon Truesdale continued their steady play defeating Anderson natives Blake Williamson and Jake Miller 2 &1. It took 21 holes for the Presbyterian college duo of Weston Sanders and Thomas Addison to defeat Connor Fahey and Benjamin Loudermilk. The Greenville Country Club team of Matt Grandy and Lindsay Carrington were two down standing on the seventeenth tee but fought back to defeat Robert and David Dargan in 19 holes.  In the final match of the morning session, Kyle Milner and Bryan Kelley defeated the Musgrove Mill member team of Brant Armstrong and Austin Johnson two up.

In the first Semifinal match of the day, Addison and Sanders got up to a quick two hole lead after a pair of birdies by each player on the second and third holes.  Todd and Truesdale got back within one after a par four on the sixth, but that was as close as they would get again as the Addison and Sanders team won holes eight, nine, thirteen and fourteen to finish the match out at 4 & 3.  In the second Semifinal match of the afternoon, a Brian Kelley birdie on the par five third hole was the only difference between the two groups through ten holes.  Another birdie by Kelley on the 11^th hole was matched by a birdie from Grandy on the 12^th, but the Spartanburg duo took the next two holes and the match was decided on the par five 16^th with conceded birdies from each group for a final 3 & 2 victory. 

The final match will begin Sunday morning at 8.00 am off of the first tee.
