Chesnee's Kevin Roberts and Columbia's John O'Brien both shot a one under par round of 71 to tie for Low Gross at the SCGA 40 Plus Series event held at Holly Tree Country Club. After a playoff, Kevin Roberts claimed the top spot in the Tournament Division.

In the Tournament Net Division, Daniel Island's Michael Campbell and Greer's Joe Tucker tied for low honors after net scores of 70. Tim Schwab and Eric Magera tied for third after net rounds of 72.

In the Senior Gross Division, Mike Gravley (Greer) and Geno Berchiatti (Greenville) shared low gross honors after both carding rounds of two under par 70. Berchiatti took top honors after a playoff. Ken Kirkland (Simpsonville) finished one shot back after a round of 71.

In the Senior Net Division, Dennis Guerriero (Lexington) claimed low honors after a net score of 66. Greenwood's Jerry Sprouse finished alone in second place after a net score of 68.

And in the Super-Senior Division, Roger Page (Duncan) was able to defeat Doug Tooke (Greenville) in a playoff after both players carded rounds of 74. Easley's Fred Keith took low net honors after a round of 68.

The 40 Plus is a series of events conducted for golfers across South Carolina, over the age of 40. The field consisted of 102 players playing Holly Tree Country Club. This event was the first of seven 40 Plus events the SCGA will conduct in 2018. The next 40 Plus event will be held March 12 at The River Golf Club in North Augusta, South Carolina
