Columbia’s Patrick Hunt shot a two over par round of 74 to claim Low Gross at the SCGA 40 Plus Series event held at Forest Lake Club. DeeBo Kelly of Camden finished one shot back after a round of 75.
In the Tournament Net Division, Sumter’s Steven Brown and Blythewood’s Scott Prince tied for low honors after net scores of 71. Bill Hathaway (Taylors) finished alone in third place after a round of net 75.
In the Senior Gross Division, Gary Odom (Greenwood) and Richard Rebholz (Rock Hill) shared low gross honors after both carding rounds of two over par 74. Ed Galbavy (Seabrook Island) finished two shots back after a round of 76.
In the Senior Net Division, Pete Clough (Columbia) claimed low honors after a net score of two under par 70. Aiken’s Jim Roland finished alone in second place after a net score of 74.
And in the Super-Senior Division, Steve Pachol (Columbia) was able to hold on for a one shot victory after a round of 77. Phil Farley and Jim Ramsey tied for low net after scores of 74.
The 40 Plus is a series of events conducted for golfers across South Carolina, over the age of 40. The field consisted of 84 players playing Forest Lake Club. This event was the fifth of seven 40 Plus events the SCGA will conduct in 2017. The next 40 Plus event will be held November 14 at the Country Club of Spartanburg in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
