Michael Osborne of Bamberg shot a 1 over par 73 to claim Low Gross at the SCGA 40 Plus Series event held at Orangeburg Country Club. John Obrien of Columbia finished one shot back after a round of 74.

In the Tournament Net Division, Tony Dominick took home low honors after a net score of even par. Joey Ulmer, Scotty Davis, and Walter Bracewell all finished in a tie for second after net scores of 73.

In the Senior Gross Division, Gary Odom of Greenwood captured his third 40+ Senior Division Championship of the season with a round of 73 . Duff Wagner of Taylors finished alone in second place after a three over par round of 75.

In the Senior Net Division, Michael Wooles and Sammy Smith finished tied atop the leaderboard with net scores of 73. Dennis Guerriero and Sammy Butler finished tied for third after net scores of 74.

And in the Super-Senior Division, Vince Williams finished in first place after a round of 74 while Phil Farley took home the Net title with a score of 68.

The 40 Plus is a series of events conducted for golfers across South Carolina, over the age of 40. The field consisted of 90 players playing Orangeburg Country Club. This event was the fourth of seven 40 Plus events the SCGA will conduct in 2017. The next 40 Plus event will be held October 23 at at Forest Lake Club in Columbia.
