Jeff Pope of North Augusta shot a 4 over par 75 to claim Low Gross at the SCGA 40 Plus Series event held at The River Golf Club. Casey Smith of Abbeville finished in second place at 5 over par. 

In the Tournament Net Division, Scott Boggs took low honors with a net score of 68. Charles Gray and Marty Henson finished in a tie for second with net scores of 72.

In the Senior Gross Division, Darryl Averyhart of Columbia captured the victory with a five over par round of 76. Gary Odom of Greenwood finished in second with a round of 79 and Rick Oyervides of Greer finished third with a score of 83.

In the Senior Net Division, Sammy Butler of Irmo finished atop the leaderboard with a net score of 68. Dennis Guerriero finished alone in second with a net score of 75. 

And in the newly added Super-Senior Division, Michael Stertz finished in first place with a round of 75 while Ken Radivoy took home the Net title with a score of 70. 

The 40 Plus is a series of events conducted for golfers across South Carolina, over the age of 40. The field consisted of 80 players playing The River Golf Club. This event was the second of seven 40 Plus events the SCGA will conduct in 2017. The next 40 Plus event will be held May 2nd at The Reserve at Lake Keowee in Sunset.
