Michael Caprio of Greer shot a 2 over par 74 to claim Low Gross at the SCGA 40 Plus Series event held at the Cliffs at Keowee Falls. Dean Nance of Greenville and Ken Kirkland of Simpsonville finished tied for second with scores of 75, and Doug Ramey of Greer, finished fourth with four over par 76. 

In the Tournament Net Division, Mike Rutland took low honors with a net score of 71. Chris Ehlich, Rick Hawkins, and Doug Turnau all tied for second with net scores of 74.

In the Senior Gross Division, Gary Odom of Greenwood captured the victory with a one over par round of 73. Duff Wagner of Taylors finished in second with a round of 74 and Ben Whipple of Marietta finished in third with 77.

In the Senior Net Division, Aaron Harrison of Spartanburg finished atop the leaderboard with a net score of 69. Blake Moore of Aiken finished alone in second with a net score of 70. 

And in the newly added Super-Senior Division, Doug Tooke finished in first place with a round of 76 while Ryan Hendley took home the Net title with a score of 70. 

The 40 Plus is a series of events conducted for golfers across South Carolina, over the age of 40. The field consisted of 96 players playing the Cliffs at Keowee Falls. This event was the first of seven 40 Plus events the SCGA will conduct in 2017. The next 40 Plus event will be held March 13th at The River Golf Club in North Augusta.
