With scores of four under par 68, Mike Bodney of Jacksonsville, FL and Barry Cheesman of Sarasota, FL have qualified for the 2016 US Senior Open. Taking the first alternate spot after a two hole playoff is Joe Jaspers of Huntersville, NC. Orangeburg’s Marion Dantzler finished with the second alternate position.
69 players started the event playing for two spots and two alternate positions at Daniel Island’s Beresford course (6,723 yards). The 2016 United States Senior Open Championship will be conducted at Scioto Country Club in Columbus, Ohio on August 11-14, 2016.
