The Dargan Brother’s In Search of Back to Back Titles

Robert Dargan and David Dargan, both of Columbia, will take a three shot advantage into the final round of the SCGA Lefty-Righty Championship after opening with a best ball score of eleven under par 61. The Dargan’s are looking for back to back titles after winning the 2015 SCGA Lefty-Righty Championship. With Robert contributing six birdies along with David’s five, the brother duo looks hard to beat heading into the final round. Two teams sit tied in second with opening rounds of 64, including the 2013 SCGA Lefty-Righty Champion team of Ron Clontz and Todd Hendley along with the team of Kevin Burton and Levi Joiner.

In Lefthanders competition, past champion Stan Sill of Spartanburg will take a two shot lead into the final round after shooting a five under par 67. Sill leads by two over another past champion, Robert Dargan, which shot a three under round of 69.

In Senior Lefty-Righty competition, Mike Daniels and John Long of Murrells Inlet are tied atop the leaderboard with Greg Hooks and Bob Edens after both opened with rounds of 67.

In the Senior Lefthanders competition, Jon Evans of Hollywood and Greg Hooks of Spartanburg are tied for first after rounds of 74.

The 2016 SCGA Lefty Righty / Lefthanders Championship is one of 21 major championships conducted by the South Carolina Golf Association. The 40th Annual event is playing on the 6,375 yard, par 72 golf course at Lake Marion Golf Club in Santee, SC.
