After a full night of rain on an already saturated golf course, Jamie Manning and Jeff Wong didn’t let soggy conditions affect their play as they took home the title in the SCGA Forty Plus Series team event at Callawassie Island.  The local team combined for a final round 66 and a two day total of 135 to edge out Dean Nance and Doug Ramey by one shot.  In the Net Division, there was a three way tied for first with teams finishing at nine under par 135.      

In the Senior Division, Tim Teaster and Holley Wallace took top honors with a final score of 142 and a two victory.  John Evans and Joe Roller finished with a net score of 130 to win by two.

The 2015 SCGA Forty Plus Finale was played at the Callawassie Island Club on the Dogwood/Magnolia course.  The event consists of players over the age of 40 and is split into two divisions, the Tournament Division and the Senior Division (both players over the age of 55).  The Tournament division played from 6,567 yards and the Senior Division from a 6,089 yard course. The field consisted of 47 two-man teams playing a Best Ball format conducted over thirty six holes. Awards were giving to the top teams in both the Gross & Net Divisions and teams could not win both ways.
