Constantino birdies way to victory at 40 Plus
Finishing just one shot out of first place at the last 40 Plus Series event, Dan Constantino broke through at the Patriot Golf Club at Grand Harbor to claim his first 40 Plus victory of 2015. Constantino (Greer) reeled off six birdies in his round in route to a three under par 69, and a one shot victory over John O’brien of Columbia. Ken Taylor (Columbia) and Doug Ramey (Greer) finished tied for third with one under par 71s.

Von Jenkins (Summerville) and Lewis Wiles (Easley) tied for Low Net honors with net scores of 67.

In the Senior Division, John Laehn (Aiken) also shot a three under par 69 to claim his second consecutive Low Gross prize. Ryan Hendley (Greer) finished in second place with a gross score of 75. Jerry Sprouse of Greenwood claimed Low Net honors with a net score of 68.

The 40 Plus is a series of events conducted for the golfers across South Carolina, over the age of 40. The field consisted of 76 players playing The Patriot Golf Club at Grand Harbor. This event was the fourth of seven 40 Plus events the SCGA will conduct in 2015. The next 40 Plus event will be played on October 6th at The Country Club of Spartanburg in Spartanburg, SC.
