Smith Captures 40+ Title at The Reserve Club
Casey Smith of Abbeville shot a 4 under par 68 claim Low Gross at the SCGA 40 Plus Series event held at The Reserve Club at Woodside Plantation. Smith, coming off a tie for second at the previous Forty Plus event,  recorded five birdies in his round along with one lone bogey to capture the title by one stroke over Dan Constantino of Greer .

Von Jenkins of Summerville took Low Net honors with a net score of 65. Greg Hogsed (Greer), Jim Pavluk (Greenville), and Marty Henson (Greenville) tied for second with net scores of 70.

In the Senior Division, The Reserve Club member John Laehn shot a  2 under par 70 to take Low Gross along with fellow member Patrick Luskey placing in second with a gross score of 75. Bob Edens of Columbia won Low Net with a net score of 69. Jack DeBruhl of Lexington finished in second with a net score of 70.

The 40 Plus is a series of events conducted for the golfers across South Carolina, over the age of 40. The field consisted of 97 players playing The Reserve Club at Woodside Plantation. This event was the third of seven 40 Plus events the SCGA will conduct in 2015. The next 40 Plus event will be played on August 31st at The Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, SC.
