Rich Weston and Ron Schroder Co-Lead Round One of the 65th Senior Championship
WOODRUFF, SC (May 9, 2023) –First round results of the 65th SCGA Senior Championship, hosted by Three Pines Country Club in Woodruff, SC on Tuesday, May 9, 2023.

This morning, Three Pines Country Club welcomed 92 senior amateurs for the first round of the 65th SCGA Senior Championship.
Rich Weston of Pawleys Island and Ron Schroder of Seneca each finished the day with a score of two-under par 70 to emerge round one co-leaders. They hold a one-shot lead heading into round two tomorrow.
Chris Koon of Simpsonville and Doug Ramey of Greer sit tied for third, each posting a first round score of one-under par 71.
The second round of the 65th Senior Championship will begin Wednesday, May 10 at 8:00 AM with a double tee start.
The 2023 SCGA Senior Championship is being played on the par 72 - 6,359 yard course at Three Pines Country Club in Woodruff, SC. The starting field consists of 92 players over the age of 55. There will be a cut to the low 50 and ties after 36 holes. The Senior Championship is one of 21 Major Championships conducted annually by the South Carolina Golf Association.
