Ferrell & Biershenk Claim Medalist Honors at Musgrove Mill
CLINTON, SC (May 25, 2023) – Another windy day greeted players for the second round of Stroke Play at Musgrove Mill Golf Club.
Once completed, the team of Garland Ferrell (Greenville) & Robbie Biershenk (Boiling Springs) claimed the medalist honors with a two-day score of 11 under par 133. After opening with a 69 in round one, the duo carded a bogey free round of eight under par 64 which included a back nine of 29.
Thirty-two teams have qualified for the Match Play portion of the event after two rounds of stroke play.
Defending Champions Grant Sellers and Trevor Gerard were unable to defend their title this year so the top seed was awarded to the medalists.
The Match Play Round of 32 will begin at 8:00 AM Friday morning off holes 1 and 10. The Round of 16 will follow tomorrow afternoon.

The 2023 SCGA Four-Ball Championship is one of 21 major championships conducted by the South Carolina Golf Association. The event is being played on the 6,779 yard, par 72 golf course at Musgrove Mill Golf Club in Clinton, South Carolina.
