This morning, Moss Creek Golf Club welcomed 93 senior amateurs for the first round of the 66th SCGA Senior Championship.
Chris Culler of Camden finished the day with a score of two-under par 70 to emerge as the round one leader. Culler holds a two-shot lead heading into round two tomorrow.
Yancey Johnson of Simpsonville sits in second place after carding a round of even par 72 for his first round.
The second round of the 66th Senior Championship will begin Thursday, May 9 at 8:30 AM with a double tee start.
The 2024 SCGA Senior Championship is being played on the par 72 - 6,463 yard course at Moss Creek Golf Club in Hilton Head, SC. The starting field consists of 93 players over the age of 55. There will be a cut to the low 60 and ties after 36 holes. The Senior Championship is one of 21 Major Championships conducted annually by the South Carolina Golf Association.
