CLINTON, SC   (May 26, 2024) –  Garland Ferrell and Robbie Biershenk have secured the trophy for the second consecutive year after a battle against the team of Chris and Evan Eassy. After tying the next hole, Ferrell made a birdie on the par-five third hole to give them a two-up lead. A birdie by Biershenk on the fourth hole put the team up by three. Chris Eassy birdied the fifth hole to bring the match to two-down. Evan Eassy then made birdie on the ninth hole to bring the match to one-down at the turn. Biershenk proceeded to make birdie on 11, to bring the match to two up. Following this, Evan Eassy birdied the 12th hole along with a birdie by Chris Eassy on 13 to square the match. Evan Eassy continued the birdie streak for the team to go one-up on the 14th hole. Ferrell fought back with a birdie on 15 to bring the match back to tied. On the 16th hole, Biershenk birdied the par-five to secure a one-up lead going into the last two holes. After halving the par three 17th with pars, Ferrell holed out from 144 yards to secure a 2-up victory. Ferrell remarked "I couldn't see the pin because of the tall grass. I hit what I thought was a good shot, ran over there, and saw it hop. Then I heard people screaming. I don't know if I will ever close out a tournament that way again. That was pretty special!"
