Sullivan and Kelly are Victorious at Senior Better Ball Championship

The team of Dan Sullivan (Columbia) & DeeBo Kelly (Camden) played brilliant golf from start to finish and posted a Final Round score of 10 under par 62 to claim the hardware at the 2024 Senior Better Ball Championship after a one hole playoff against the side of Joe Hendrick (Chesterfield) and Daran Womack (Aiken). Hendrick and Womack would finish alone in second place after the playoff. Eddie Hargett (Okatie) and Brad Krapfel (Columbia) took home third place honors after a final round of seven under par 65 and tournament total of 135.

In the First Flight, Robret Andrews (Columbia) & Eddie Mirmow (Lexington) claimed top honors with a tournament total of six under par 138. Danny Stubbs (Columbia) and Rich Houghton (Elgin) were victorious in the second flight with a tournament total of two over par 146. The Third Flight was won by Al Britt (Darlington) and Lance Harris (Mt. Pleasant) after a final round score of 68 and tournament total of 147. The field was split into four flights for Sunday’s final round based on first round scores.

The 2024 SCGA Senior Better Ball Championship was played at the par 72 – 6,369 yard Santee Cooper Country Club. The field consisted of 58 two-man teams playing Best Ball format conducted over thirty-six holes. The Senior Better Ball Championship is in its 51st year of existence.
