Champions Crowned at WSCGA-SCGA Mixed Team Championship

26th WSCGA/SCGA Mixed Team Championship

The team of Catherine Shealy (Blythewood) and Ralph Gottlieb (Columbia) along with the team of Pam Prescott (Piedmont) and David League (Travelers Rest), both are victorious in their respective divisions to become 2024 Champions at the 26th Annual WSCGA-SCGA Mixed Team Championship being held at The Wildewood Club.

In the Championship Division, Shealy and Gottlieb finished with a tournament total of three under par 141 to claim the top honors after a one-hole playoff. Lea and Tommy Venable fired a 1 under par 71 to force the playoff.

In the Senior Division, Pam Prescott and David League claimed top honors after finishing with a tournament total of eight under par 136. Finishing alone in second place was the team of Lee Anne Brown (Mt. Pleasant) and Mark Hoover (Mt. Pleasant) with a tournament total of two under par 142.

The Championship Division and Senior Divisions were flighted based on first round scores. The Championship Division had one flight, and the Senior Division was split into two flights.

The 2024 WSCGA/SCGA Mixed Team Championship was played at The Wildewood Club. The field consisted of 31 man & woman teams playing a Best Ball format the first day and a Select Drive-Alternate Shot format the second day. The Mixed Team Championship is in its 26th year of existence.
