Johnson & Williamson Victorious at Monticello Golf Club Forty Plus Four-Ball Event

Blake Williamson (Anderson) and Yancey Johnson (Simpsonville) were victorious at the fifth SCGA 40 Plus Series event of 2024 that was contested on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024, at Savannah Lakes Village – Monticello Golf Club, after a round of four-under-par 68. Williamson & Johnson cruised to a three-shot victory over three other teams.

In the Tournament Net Division, Scott Campbell (Central) and Bryan Tankersly (Greenville) captured the win with a net score of 63.

In the Senior Gross Division, Dean Nance (Greenville) and Doug Ramey (Greer) placed atop the leaderboard after an eight-under-par round of 64. Terry Willis (Greenville) and John Blue (Taylors) finished second with a five-under-par 67.

In the Senior Net Division, the duo of Danny Land (Greenwood) and Jerry Sprouse (Greenwood) finished at the top with a net score of 63.

The team of Chris Barnes (Greenwood) and Mike Harrison (Greenwood) captured the Super Senior Gross Division with a three-under-par 69.

In the Super Senior Net Division, John Ivester (Troy) and Dennis Beauford (Greenwood) finished atop the leaderboard with a net score of 70.

The 40 Plus is a series of events conducted for golfers across South Carolina, over the age of 40. The field consisted of 76 players playing Monticello Golf Club in McCormick, SC. This event was the fifth 40 Plus event the SCGA has conducted in 2024. The 40+ Season Finale Event will be at The Legends Course at Parris Island on December 1st & 2nd.
