Inaugural SCGA Par 3 Champion, Robert Lutomski

Lutomski Crowned the First-Ever SCGA Par 3 Champion

Greenville, SC (November 2, 2024) – Perfect weather graced players during the inaugural SCGA Par 3 Championship at 3’s Golf and Grubhouse this weekend in Greenville, SC. Robert Lutomski of Simpsonville emerged as the champion after three thrilling rounds on the par 3 course. 

In the opening round, Taylor Thomas of Greenville took an early lead with an impressive three-under-par 33. Lutomski closely pursued, finishing just one shot back at two-under-par 34, alongside Sam Gravley (Greer), James Scott (Greenville), and Andy Mitchell (Greenville), who all ended the first round at two-under-par. 

The competition heated up on Saturday morning as both Thomas and Lutomski continued to perform well. Thomas shot a one-under-par 35 in the second round, sharing first place with Lutomski, who fired a two-under-par 34. 

Lutomski found his rhythm in the final round, delivering a stellar four-under-par 32, bringing his tournament total to eight-under-par 100 and securing victory by five shots over Thomas.

This championship is part of the SCGA's ongoing commitment to promote the growth of golf in South Carolina. The decision to introduce a Par 3 Championship at one of the state's premier par 3 courses, 3's Greenville, reflects this mission. The tournament featured individual stroke play conducted over thirty-six holes.
