Throughout the year, Jackson finished outside of the top ten in only two events, showcasing his exceptional skill, unwavering consistency, and remarkable resilience across a demanding schedule.
"Winning Player of the Year for the third time is truly special. South Carolina is packed with amazing players, and competing with them is always a blast, but what makes it even better is the incredible people you get to meet and spend time with at every event. The SCGA has been there for me from junior golf all the way into my thirties, and they’ve done so much for me and my family. I honestly wouldn’t be where I am today without their support, and I’m so thankful for everything they’ve given me along the way." - Sam Jackson on his third consecutive title.
Jackson’s third consecutive Player of the Year title places him in elite company, joining PGA Tour professional D.J. Trahan as the only players in SCGA history to achieve this feat.
Todd White: A Distinguished Champion
Todd White, a distinguished figure in South Carolina golf and a true ambassador for the sport, has been named Senior Player of the Year for the second consecutive year. His 2024 season was extraordinary, highlighted by a commanding victory at the prestigious R&A Senior Amateur Championship, showcasing his ability to excel on the international stage.
Closer to home, White finished fifth at the 93rd SCGA Amateur Championship and advanced to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Senior Amateur Championship. He also earned automatic qualification into the U.S. Senior Open, U.S. Amateur, and U.S. Mid-Amateur.
