Jackson and Herold Victorious at SCGA Players Four-Ball Championship

After shooting a final round score of 62 and an impressive two-day total of 18 under par 126, Sam Jackson (West Columbia) and Zach Herold (Lexington) are the 2021 SCGA Players Four-Ball Champions.

Jackson and Herold carded ten birdies in their final round to secure the championship along with playing two days of bogey free golf.  Finishing in second place was the first-round leader team of Jordan Sease (Lexington) and Dixon Walker (Columbia) after a final round 67 and tournament total of 129.

The field was split into four flights for Sunday’s final round based on first round scores (Flights: Championship, First, Second, Third). The team of Weston Bell (Piedmont) and Robert Lutomski (Simpsonville) finished atop the First Flight after an 11 under par tournament total of 133. The Second Flight was won by the duo of Jamie Lightsey (Indian Land) and Brandon Truesdale (Rock Hill) with a total 136. The teams of Michael Burcin (Mt. Pleasant) and John Sebelist (Ravenel) along with Allen Knight (Blythewood) and Barry Reynolds (Beaufort) tied for first in the Third Flight after both teams finished with tournament totals of two over par 146.

The 2021 SCGA Players Four-Ball Championship was played at the par 72 – 6,855 yard Columbia Country Club Ridgewood & Tall Pines courses. The field consisted of 50 two-man teams playing Best Ball format conducted over thirty-six holes. The Players Four-Ball Championship is in its 37th year of existence.
