Dan Sullivan and Will Sullivan Claim Father-Son Championship Title
With a one-hole playoff to decide the 2021 SCGA Dudley-Sullivan Father-Son Championship, the team of Dan and Will Sullivan come out victorious. The Sullivan team would par the first playoff hole to claim the title over the team of Walter & Walt Todd. Each team respectively shot a tournament score of five under par 67 on a pristine Greenville Country Club Chanticleer Course.
Walter & Walt Todd would ultimately claim the top honors in the First Flight. Dan & Will Sullivan would capture the Second Flight title along with winning the Overall Championship. By virtue of the Sullivans both playing the blue tee markers at Chanticleer, they were eligible for the overall championship. There was a two-way tie for first in the Third Flight, as the teams of Chris & Jerry Weidner along with Jack & Darin Magera each finished with one over par totals of 73. Flights One, Two, & Three were all contested at Greenville Country Club’s Chanticleer Course.
In the Fourth Flight, the team of David & Sean League captured the title after a one under par round of 70. Bobby Smith & Aiden Bragg would win the Fifth Flight after a one over par round of 72. Flights Four & Five were contested at Greenville Country Club’s Riverside Course.
Named after long time Greenville Country Club members & SC Golf Hall of Famers, Mr. Charles Dudley and Mr. Heyward Sullivan, the Father Son Championship is contested at Greenville Country Club's Chanticleer and Riverside courses. The format of select drive - alternate shot gives each team a chance to learn the strengths & weaknesses of their partners. Pre-Flighted to take into account the ability of all ages, the Annual Dudley - Sullivan Father Son Championship gives all contestants an opportunity to compete against other teams from across the State.
