Crowded at the Top After Round One

After the first round of the Players Four Ball Championship there is a four-way tie at the top with scores of eight under par 64. Thomas Todd (Laurens) and Matt Wiggins (Laurens), Garland Ferrell (Greenville) and Walt Todd (Greenville), Ryan Reynolds (Camden) and Tyler Gray (Lugoff) and Doug Ramey (Greer) and Dean Nance (Greenville) all will start the final round vying for the title at Columbia Country Club.

Six teams are tied for the lead in the First Flight after firing rounds of three under par 69. In the Second Flight, there are also six teams tied for the lead at one over par 73.

The final round will begin with a 10:00 AM Shotgun on Sunday morning.

The 2019 SCGA Players Four-Ball Championship is being played on the par 72 – 6,855-yard Columbia Country Club course in Blythewood, SC. The field consists of 35 two-man teams playing Best Ball format conducted over thirty-six holes. The Players Four Ball Championship is one of 21 Major Championships conducted annually by the South Carolina Golf Association.
