36th Annual Father-Son Championship

The team of Steve and Chase Liebler captured the 35th Annual SCGA Father-Son Championship after a round of three under par sixty nine. The pair from Irmo managed a two shot victory over TD and Thomas Todd and Joe and Matthew Robinson . The field consisted of one hundred and two teams playing in six different pre-flighted divisions in a select drive-alternate shot format. The Professionals and first two flights competed over the 6,570 yard layout of Woodcreek Farms while the rest of the field played the 6,250 yard Windermere Club.
The professional division was won by Tom and Dalton Cornforth after a scorecard playoff over David and Colby Hyduke after both teams completed the round in 75 shots. Division one was also decided by scorecard playoff as Joe and Matthew Robinson’s backside 32 took precedence over TD and Thomas Todd’s 34 in their effort of one under 71. The overall champion came from division two after the Lieblers compiled nines of 33-36. Jim and Jason Kirkham took runner-up honors in the second division after another scorecard victory over Ross and Steve Horton. Division three had Stoy and Tim Beckham on top after they played in 73 shots, two clear of Roy and Dave Anderson.
The Windermere Club had Stan and Kevin Smuniewski as victors in the Fourth division after firing a two under par 70, two shots ahead of Bill and Nathan Irving. Bill and Tommy Stanton claimed a scorecard victory over Dan and Andy Karns in Division five as both teams shot two over par 74's. The Sixth and final division had Jim and Westy Westmoreland on top by one over Bill and Hunter Watkins.
