44th Four Ball Championship
Rada and Oldham are Victorious
Patrick Rada and Will Oldham claimed the 2007 SCGA Four Ball Championship with a 2 & 1 victory over Allen Koon and Baker Elmore.
The winning team made an early statement with an Oldham birdie on the 2nd hole, a 170 yard par three, to get off to a quick start. After an up and down par on the 4th hole by Rada, another birdie two on the par three 8th hole by Oldham and a birdie by Rada on the 9th the upstate natives were 4 up going into 10.
Elmore and Koon however were not ready to hand over the Championship. A birdie three on the 11th by Elmore and a Koon birdie on the 15th got the University of South Carolina teammates within two. Rada and Oldham’s lead proved to be too much to overcome though as the two team swapped pars on 16 and 17 to finish the match.
