Herold & Walker Take Mid-Am Four-Ball Title
The team of Zachary Herold (Lexington) & Dixon Walker (Columbia) have claimed the 2022 SCGA Mid-Amateur Four-Ball Championship at The Carolina Country Club after a one-hole playoff and chip in birdie by Herold against the team of Garland Ferrell (Greenville) & Michael Sims (Lexington). Both teams finished with tournament totals of 17 under par 127.
Herold and Walker would put together a stellar final round 65 by combining 11 pars and 7 birdies to follow up their first round 62. As Ferrell and Sims would take the runner-up title after the playoff, there was a two-way tie for third between the teams of Bradley Kauffman (Greer) and Walt Todd, Jr. (Greenville) along with Chris Eassy (Simpsonville) and Jeremy Revis (Greenville).

The 2022 SCGA Mid-Amateur Four-Ball Championship was played at The Carolina Country Club which played as a par 72 – 6,929 yard course. The field consisted of 56 two-man teams playing Best Ball format conducted over thirty-six holes. The Mid-Amateur Four-Ball Championship is in its 28th year of existence.
